Is it a bad sign for a guy you’re talking to to text you multiple times a day outside of regular conversations to ask how I’m doing?

If he’s busy at work he will let me know and then message later but then when he does, it’s like he’s unable to continue a conversation. I find it a little odd especially because when I ask how he’s doing in return, he doesn’t even say much to reply to so I just leave him on read.

Not if you like the guy, if you like him then that’s a good sign that he likes you as well, by wanting to hear from you as much as possible. Now if he is doing it constantly without giving you any breathing room , then that’s can be a sign that is obsessed with you and has a hard time trusting you. Which could be a red flag. Do you get annoyed when he constantly texts you? If so , you are best not to waste anymore of your time on him. I dated girls’ that would constantly text me and ask me what I was doing and where I was at, like she was keeping tabs on me. At first I thought it was cute but as time went on I realized it wasn’t cute , it was insecurities that she didn’t trust me whatsoever which isn’t a good thing whatsoever,

That is the thing about texting, you can easily misunderstand one’s meaning from a text. Talking keeps that from happening though…..

Maybe he just can't think of what else to say. I think it's normal to check in on someone we care about to see how they're doing.
