Would a guy message you everyday if he wasn’t interested in you (read description for more detail)?

so I’ve been speaking to this guy for about 3 months now, we’ve had two great dates. But a mutual friend of ours told me he said to them that he “doesn’t know if he has the time for a girlfriend right now”. At first I thought this meant he isn’t interested, so I backed off a bit and gave him some space. He still messages me everyday though, even when I end conversations he picks them up again. So now I’m wondering what does this mean? Could he be interested but genuinely doesn’t think he has the time for a girlfriend right now, or is he just playing?

Yes and no. I message a girl often because she's a great friend but I have no sexual or romantic interest in her whatsoever and she knows that. But I am interested in her from a friendship perspective so that keeps me hooked. If I have no interest in someone in general I don't message.

Hmm, it sounds like he wants you for a girlfriend but he feels he won't be able to give you enough attention. Maybe let him that you like talking to him and maybe find out what his schedule is like and if you can handle it.

Maybe he would enjoy friendship first before a relationship I mean I text people daily that I don't want to date lol

I think he is interested because if he was not, he would not take all of his day to text you on a daily basis
