What does it mean when a guy smiles to himself after looking at you?

There have been plenty of interactions between me and my crush, including him saying good morning to me every day at work. And most of the time, I will catch him gazing at me.

However, I’ve seen him look at me (when he thinks I weren’t looking) and then smile to himself. This has happened three times recently

1 - I had sunglasses on so he didn’t know I was looking at him. I walked past him and he turned around to look, then smiled to himself briefly

2 - I had my sunglasses on again and was looking at him. He was walking towards me while I was sat with colleagues. He gazed at me as he came towards me, then his eyes went to the floor and he smiled with a closed mouth, the corners of his lips stretched downwards. He then kept his eyes to the ground as he walked past me

3 - I was sat on a bench, with my back to him. I was sat a fair distance away from him. I heard him pushing a trolley and I turned around to see who it was. It was him, and when I turned around, he was already staring and smiling at me. I looked away and then looked back at him, and he was still staring and smiling and he waved at me

Maybe you are reading a lot into some of the things he's doing. But it seems you are interested in him and he may have noticed this as we're not immune to women around us doing things out of the ordinary or NOTICING us.

It’s going well I think, he told me that his grandad was in hospital so I bought him his favourite biscuits and some chocolate as a little “pick me up”. He went as red as anything and said thank you about a million times. Thank you ☺️

Thank you so much. I was so scared to give them to him in case he thought I was weird. But his reaction was absolutely stunning. He just kept staring at me and smiling, and moving closer to me.

It sounds like he has a crush on you. Is he near ur age? Maybe ask him out or start following him on socials and see how it goes

I mentioned that I found his profile on Instagram and he grinned. He told me twice that I was welcome to follow him. And when I did, he immediately requested to follow me back.

Also, what do you think of this? When he started following me, he viewed every story consistently and even referenced one in person the next day.
Then I uploaded a selfie to my stories, which he viewed, and now he’s stopped looking at my stories. He’s still flirty at work.
