Following guys on social media?

Very broad question - I’m on the dating apps again (womp womp) and I noticed it’s common for guys to write their social media handles in their bios. I’m guilty of looking them up because, why not?

Is it odd to go straight to following their social media handle? I mean…. They put it there for a reason right? Whether you send a like or match or not, would sending a follow request be a turn on or turn off from basically a stranger?

I always love assume girls that do that are just looking for followers and to help boost their profiles. I don't use social media much, and dating apps are nothing but waste of time for me.

I don't know what is sadder, dating apps or openly admitting your social media handles. Both are humongous red flags.
