Guy I was talking to disappeared for a year and now he’s texting me again like nothing ever happened?

I meet at this guy two years ago when we were getting to know each other it didn’t really work out so eventually we stopped talking a few months later he text me to see how I was doing and we started talking again, the conversation was getting better but then he stop responding to my messages and now a year later he’s contacting me like nothing ever happened. He hasn’t explained why he disappeared for a year l I asked one of my guy friends for advice, but he said he might be contacting me for sex, but me and him do not live in the same state anymore

His other options aren’t available. This could mean he’s fresh out of a breakup or the woman/women he’s been dealing with are sick of his bs. In any case this is just him spinning the block and it is most likely for sex at some point. He will probably lie his way out of admitting that because he doesn’t want you to think bad of him or risk looking bad. And he will likely go awol again once he finds out your in different states and getting what he wants would be harder. In any case if I were you I’d ignore him. The past rarely ever (next to never) have anything new or good say.
