Was my ex’s friend potentially staring at me…?

Just to make it clear, I’ve never met this guy in person before. I’ve only seen a photo of him. And I’m not sure he’d know who I am unless my ex ever showed him a picture of me, because I’m not on social media or anything.

Anyway, I was walking down a busy shopping high street to go to a shop today and I just happened to spot this guy sitting on a bench. He made eye contact with me and stared my way, but I quickly looked away as I wouldn’t really expect him to know who I am.

Then on the way back along the high street I passed him again and this time he almost kinda shifted his body about on the bench as he saw me and looked up at me again.

On my way back to the car I’d crossed the road and he spotted me again, as he saw me crossing he stood up as if he was going to cross the road towards where I was. Again he was looking over my way.

Do you think he knew who I was? I had my sunglasses on, but feel there was quite a bit of eye contact going on.

Chances are he may have recognised you.

He definitely knew who you were.

Maybe he thought you looked hot.

Maybe he was considering speaking to you.

The dude has probably seen a picture of you, saw a face in the crowd and recognised it without being able to place it - just like you clearly recognised him, looked closely enough at him to be able to analyse his whereabouts.

I wasn’t staring at him, I glanced because I felt like he had a familiar face. Plus I had sunglasses on

It’s because I was up and down the high street and I have great peripheral vision. It was 100% him, and I could see he was looking at me a fair bit.

Broke up a year ago. My ex possibly showed a picture of me. I don’t know. But I know this guy knew that my ex adored me, and I just wondered what the chances were of him recognising me today. He definitely looked at me like I was familiar.
