Some days I want to talk to men and then other days I want to be left alone. Then people ask, why am I single and I say I'm working on myself, but also i don't want to deal with the repeated introduction stage and I realized after being single, I'm selfish with my time. Compromising and accommodating was draining. I just want to talk and kiss someone within a meaningful relationship.
Being casual isn't in my nature because I'll catch feelings if I really like the guy, then he can basically ask whatever, and I'll do it. All I have to do is make it to that point, but I get turned off after a few conversations if we're not in force proximity.

I could describe myself in a very similar way. I'm mostly fine being by myself, but I'd really like a close partner. I never seem to have the energy to thrive in the introduction phase. I've always been bad at meeting new people romantically and for friendship, but I've always been good at keeping friends. I still talk to and occasionally see most of my friends from elementary school.
I don't often feel lonely and was very happy being single with a friends with benefits before I met my wife. I have always felt the way you do before meeting someone that I always wanted to spend time with without her exhausting me.
So what do you do about your loneliness?
