My hookup never texts first, does that mean he’s not really interested?

Just wanted to get some more perspectives on this—about a month ago I started hooking up with this guy. The sex was good, he’d stay for hours, most of which we spent watching shows, cuddling and chatting. Anyways, I’d usually text him twice a week asking for a hookup, we’re both college students, he usually said no during the week because he was busy but would come over on Friday or Saturday. In the month or so we’ve been hooking up, he has only ONCE texted me for a hookup.

We haven’t hooked up in 2 weeks, the first week I was admittedly too drunk on a Friday, and he turned me down on Saturday. This week I’ve been sick, and haven’t texted him at all, nor has he texted me. Just wondering if this means he’s no longer interested in seeing me? It confuses me because it feels like he enjoys speaking to me, sometimes when I text for a hookup he’ll say no and then start chatting about other things, and when he comes over he stays for hours without initiating another round. I’m mostly asking because I don’t like sleeping with multiple people at once, and wanna find something else without holding on to someone who’s not interested in hooking up. What does it all mean 😔

He’s interested in you physically speaking. But even then sounds like that excitement has worn off. Chances are he has another girl on the side. A main chick that’s why he only shows up on the weekends. Women should never go into friends with benefits situations in hopes of getting the man to commit to her.
