Does a man like it when a woman initiates contact?

I met a man at a work conference and we hit it off really well. I emailed him a week later, he responded within an hour, gave me his number. We texted more that day and then spoke on the phone that afternoon. We both stated we like each other and want to see each other again but didn’t make any concrete plans. We left the conversation saying we would check our schedules. I haven’t heard anything since and that was 5 days ago. Should I reach out again?

It all depends what your intentions are and what his are.

If you hope to get romantically involved and he is only looking for someone to talk to, then it is not worth contacting him again since he does not seem to be too interested in pursuing that conversation it seems.

5 days are a long time to wait to contact someone that one would be interested in romantically and my feeling tells me that he is not ready for anything serious with you.

In that situation, I would simply forget about that person and move on to something more important than wasting my time.

This is a hard one. 5 days is a long time for no contact. Can I ask, were you the last person to message/contact with him? I only ask because he may have been brooding on your last message. There is every chance he is a little bit awkward and doesn’t know how to initiate further communication.

I know that may seem strange but men like this do exist unfortunately haha.

He could also just be forgetful or the sort of guy that doesn’t really care. I feel bad because I feel as though I’ve introduced more questions than answers.

Whatever you do just message him RIGHT NOW. If he is awkward he will respond and appreciate the forwardness. If he is a prick he will not respond— then you know you can be done with him

He said he was drawn to me because I am an assertive woman. When we spoke on the phone he said he was really happy that I had contacted him because he thought that I had lost interest. It’s a tough one. I like being pursued but I am confident enough to take the first step, which I have already done. We live an hour away from each other so that might complicate things.
