Does any guy have a clue on why my ex wants to take pictures of me so bad?

2 years ago my ex picked up photography and now has fallen in love with it. Since then he's landed offers for photographing homes, won photo landscape competitions, and done several photo shoots with other models and photographers who help him shoot better pictures
Since the beginning of last year, he's been asking me to let him shoot pictures of me. 2 weeks ago he bought some new equipment and he wants me to help him set up and do practice shots. This is the 3rd time he already asked me this year. Im very skeptical about the whole thing anyway because he's trying to set it up at his house first and last week he took me home, he squeezed my face cheeks for no reason and im taking it as a sign that he feels some type of way because doing that was unnecessary.

He should ask you if he can squeeze your face and cheeks if he didn't, Well it could mean different things,

1) Tying to get back with you.

2) Bond with you

3) Him just being comfortable and sharing his passion of photography with you

1) Obsession with you

2) Obsession with his photography career

3) Possessiveness

It could mean a lot things, you just need to be open with him and ask him why, and try to gauge his intentions. If no straight forward answer then be kinda wary.
