Why would he not reach out?

After months of unspoken tension I decided to give this guy a note telling him I’m interested in him. The note had a cute message and my number but he never reached out. His reaction was the best. He said aw thank you and gave me a smile that reached his eyes. He seemed genuinely happy and he doesn’t smile a lot either. So what gives? Was it all in my head?

As for the heart the heart wants what the heart wants & unfortunately the heart can’t always have what it truly desires & sometimes hearts do get broken. In life I always say if you never try you will never know & as for you at least you gave it a shot. As for the ball it’s in his court & as for time it will tell & anything is still possible.

As for the months of unspoken tension WTF is that all about? If you pissed him off in anyway you blew it & if he was once interested it probably isn’t anymore.

It’s possible he has a girlfriend or boyfriend & if he does you probably have a better chance of getting hit by lightning on a submarine vs him reaching out to you.

Maybe? But I thought it was mutual tension that’s why I decided to give him a note with my number to try and bridge the gap. But that failed lol. Also if he had a girlfriend, wouldn’t he have said so when I gave him the note? But his reaction threw me off as it gave him off that he would initiate contact

As someone well versed in unspoken tension, I would immediately act if I got my desired crush's number. My only reason would be I lost it or didn't realize what transpired.

Maybe he completely misunderstood your actions. For whatever reason, maybe he didn't read the slip you gave him. I've made mistakes where my cluelessness is at that level.

Also, he may have been flattered by you giving him your number, and didn’t want to hurt your feelings, hence the overly gracious response. Is that extra AF and unnecessary on his part? Absolutely, but some people are just like that. Plus depending on how you know him (like if you’re a regular and he’s a bartender, waiter, barista, etc), then he’s trying to save face.

Wait let me lay out the whole scene clearly. I went up to him and said hi I have something for you. He looked confused and quite scared lol he frowned and said what? Then I handed him the note from my pocket and said this is for you. When he saw the note, that’s when he smiled and looked really happy and said thank you.

I did think maybe he was being polite and saving face but his reaction was way too friendly and not like him. I’m over it now but it’s definitely one of those moments that make me scratch my head and think what went wrong.

It’s his politeness that gave me hope. I would rather he have been neutral and said oh thanks I guess. But he didn't! He smiled and said aww thank you he seemed really happy with the note. So the silence is confusing me. But you’re right maybe he doesn’t feel the same way
