How can I figure out if my guy friend likes me?

He is in a situationship but he does things that make me question like :
He would ask me to draw on his arm
He picked me up couple times
He hugs me even though he doesn't hug girls
We hang out a lot
He gets me stuff
He gets me food when I don't ask
He did threaten to fight my ex for me
I layed my head on his shoulder and he was fine with it
He usually does these things in private
And he's also more of a nerdy shy introverted person
So I know he's not trying to play and he's definitely not trying to sleep with me

Girls, please understand that the men who are in your “friend” zone more than likely have a thing for you. Now w that said, that thing doesn’t always mean they want a relationship w you. It could just be that they want sex. There’s not a lot of value men get out of being in a friendship w women. Women get way more benefits out of male friends. Not 100%, sure there are a few women who can offer some benefit to their male “friends,” but men usually befriend women they want to sleep w. He just can’t because she doesn’t feel the same way about him. He’s just lurking around, hoping you’ll give him a chance.

I get that you don’t wanna mess up the dynamic by asking him questions but in my opinion you do yourself no favors by avoiding that conversation. Let’s say you get several people on this site telling you he’s into you, do you know what that’s going to do? Nothing except make you look at things from a perspective that you don’t even know is factual.


Imagine how hurtful it would be to continue down this path of getting close to him, developing stronger feelings with this idea in your head that he’s interested (thanks to us), only for him to either reject you or choose another woman. You’d feel confused, blindsided, and hurt when all that could be avoided in current time. You shouldn’t want to be the “friend” that he’s handsy or flirtatious with, yet he would expect you to be all smiles and congratulatory when/if he winds up with someone else. And make no mistake, you would be expected to have that “happy for him” energy. So while you’re trying so hard to preserve this connection, you could really be setting your future self up for a lot of pain that could’ve totally been avoided.
