I’ve noticed a huge contrast since being in Europe. While many European men seem to take pride in a woman’s independence and confidence, a lot of Turkish men act like they only feel 'manly' when they are policing what a woman wears or where she goes.
Is this constant need to put women down and 'cage' them just a way to mask their own insecurities and lack of self-improvement? They worship foreign women (like Russians) for being 'beautiful and free' but treat their own women like property. Is it time to admit that this 'macho' act is just a cover for an inferiority complex? I’m curious to hear your thoughts, especially from those who have dated across cultures.
