Why is it that when people think of 'Turkish men,' the first things that come to mind are jealousy, restriction, and constant pressure?

I’ve noticed a huge contrast since being in Europe. While many European men seem to take pride in a woman’s independence and confidence, a lot of Turkish men act like they only feel 'manly' when they are policing what a woman wears or where she goes.

​Is this constant need to put women down and 'cage' them just a way to mask their own insecurities and lack of self-improvement? They worship foreign women (like Russians) for being 'beautiful and free' but treat their own women like property. Is it time to admit that this 'macho' act is just a cover for an inferiority complex? I’m curious to hear your thoughts, especially from those who have dated across cultures.

Well these type of men exist in all races and countries. Look I’m someone that doesn’t want a woman to need to depend on me. Im open to a more traditional relationship if I ever got to a point where that would be practical. But I still wouldn’t want her to need to depend on me if that makes sense.

Let me tell you something women who want to just depend on a man for everything generally don’t contribute much. That includes at home see used to women did all the housework sometimes the husband being gone for long periods of time. They worked their asses off,.. and these women become resentful when they’re expected to do so much as lift a finger and change a diaper.

Women who are with you because they want that genuine connection not because they need to depend on you for something. That’s the type I want.
