Guy's Behavior

If a guy asks you what flowers, chocolate or whatever, he likes you right?

My guy friend has been very consistent in texting me everyday more than usual. I don’t text everyday because I’m busy with school and work. He’s been asking me if I liked chocolate or what kind of flowers I like. I asked him why? He kept saying just asking. I didn’t answer.
He asked me again the next morning and I told him i don’t care for either.
He asked what was my favorite restaurant and I told him, “What do you mean? You know what it is? Why are you asking me these questions?” Two hours later he said “Just asking” I keep getting that answer.

My best friend for someone that’s very intelligent I am actually very dense about guys. She said he’s doing this because he likes me and he probably wants to ask me out or trying to impress me. She said everyone that knows him that he’s had a crush on me for YEARS, but I’ve paid too much of attention to guys that won’t give me the time of day of completely out of my league. I chased after cute guys or jocks/good looking while I’m overweight, tall and chubby. My guy friend is very tall and chubby as week. My best friend said he always preferred me and chased me more than the smaller, or petite, slim girls. He never cared for the hot girls. Not all guys like hot girls or thin girls. My best friend said he’s been chasing me for YEARS and you’re beautiful to to him.
That’s ridiculous. Plus I prefer black men as a black woman. I’m not against white guys (guy friend is white, never chased white gurls) but I just want a black man and that’s who I’m going to marry.
