I’m won’t say me specifically, but it does happen to me as well. It’s not really a misconception either. But when women ask men questions, like why don’t a lot of me date single moms, they always tend to reject his answer as being the truth. Like no that can’t be it. Another example, why men don’t like masculine women. You give them the answer which usually get rebutted w no men just can’t handle independent women or they’re intimidated by her. All the men will pretty much give you the same answer but it’s still not the answer according to a lot of women. So why do we even talk as men? Than you wonder why men don’t talk. This is part of the reason why.

Yes please do so. Look from an outsiders perspective. Men really can’t be honest w women because you’re hit w you’re just a misogynist, you hate women, who hurt you, you hate your mom. A few weeks ago on this platform a lady asked a question why men do whatever it was she asked in regards to women. I answered, very similar to all tje other men. But she still refused to accept my answer. I said even a lot of the men said the same thing I said. She’s like no men just like to lie, they can’t handle women like that. It’s like who wants to handle a woman. What is she a pet. She’s ended up blocking me. You know instead of saying interesting. Then asking more questions to maybe learn some stuff from us men as to why we are the way we are, she blocks me. Nothing rude about what I said. Now she may have thought it was rude cause it was straight to the point, no bs, which women aren’t usually used to. So when a man is form, direct, he’s seen as being mean or hurting my feelings. In reality that’s how men talk to each other.
As for why I went anonymous, I’ve always been anon ever since I pretty much opened this account.

Another good example. A ma who doesn’t accept his girl’s body count is just insecure. Even if he was women have a lot of insecurities as well that most men don’t go around putting her down for it. But if you don’t like that she’s been around the block a few times, you’re insecure, little dick energy. According to them it’s her past, that happened before she met him. But if you switch things around, you ask these women what if you found out your man used to do gay porn in the past, would you be ok w that? The answer is almost always no. Then you hit them w well it’s his past. To which they respond, well it’s not the same. Two different things yes but both their past sexual history so if we’re going by their logic it should t matter what he did.

A common but not universal belief is that I'm boring because I don't talk that much (at first) and I'm not funny/too serious. I don't blame any woman who thinks that about me -- I might have thought the same thing in their shoes.

I have to get to know someone better and if/when we find common interests I open up. It's not even a false assumption on their part, I'm just terrible when it comes to small talk.

My type is the smart, strong, silent type. When he speaks it’s deep and he doesn’t bother himself with the superficial stuff. Those people are few and hard to come by

That I'm an asshole. I can be very sarcastic and a smart ass with friends, because of that, women that don't know me that well, get very turned off by it, especially if the friend I'm picking on is also their friend. My wife hated me when we first met.
