Why would a guy carry two phones and ask a colleague to use his personal one?

Guys are infinitely diverting in their quirky claims to being “the more direct” members of the species when they do shady stuff like giving a female colleague a prompt to use their personal number. (To me that’s a shady move.)

I use to have two phones, one for work and on call, that I only had access to when I was on call. Now my personal phone is the company phone, and the reason for that is my company pays for my phone and my wife's phone.

Yeah but that’s legit. A guy has two phones, makes a big deal about one being his work phone and insists you use his personal number even though you’re only work colleagues. It’s strange to me.

Maybe I know when I had two phones I refused to give that number to anyone including my colleagues, because if someone called me on the work phone it meant I need to solve an issue or address an issue immediately.

He has a work phone — presumably for work tasks — but gives his female colleague his personal phone and says not to use the work phone bc it’s just his work phone … which makes no sense bc she’s only having work-related convo with him.
