Well not all guys do that, for starters. But I assume the guys who have done this around you were shy about something. Chances are it just meant they had some kind of attraction to you. Still at bare minimum they were nervous or shy. Other than that it's impossible to figure out what he's thinking in his head. It really could vary from one guy to the next.

Anyway, long story short, he's most likely shy or nervous, and maybe even a chance of him being attracted to you. But that's all there is to it.
