Okay so I'm a little new to the whole guys liking me thing so don't be too harsh when answering this...

This really cute guy randomly messaged me on fb and sed that he want to be my friend and stuff like that which is cool. And ever since that day we've been talking and that all happened a few weeks ago, but lately I've notice he's been staring at me a lot and likes to talk to me alone a lot too... I think its crazy for a guy like him to like me Because I'm shy and quiet and he's basicly the opposite... My best friend keeps telling me "Oh he likes you, blah blah blah"

I Highly doubt it but I don't know what to think anymore

Well if you like him be straight foward enough

I mean to say talk to him about dating a little bit

then ask him "do you like me?" and if he is surprised explain why you though he did and move on
