Hair petting? Temple rubbing? Guys, is this some sort of play you have in your handbook?

A couple weeks ago, I hung out with this guy for the first time. We were siting alone...and he started petting my head...well, not really petting it, more like rubbing it. And then he started rubbing my temples and touching my eyebrows. I let him continue because I was tired, and it felt good, and I've been deprived of human touch for most of my life...That's all I let him do. But then later after he left, he sent me some random texts, one of which said " I wanted to feel your butt." I'm not sure if he sent that because he knew it would piss me off...He wasn't crude in anyway when we went out, though. He was polite, but he is a very open person.

Anyways, guys...why would anyone do this? Is this some sort of play that only a player would do? No one has ever done that to me before...but then again, I have no experience with men...which of course is why I'm asking...

It seems like he was starting to give you a massage, which could be very nice for you.

It's possible he was hoping it would go farther than it did. He probably went over what happened in his mind dozens of times and is a little confused about it all.

The best answer for the butt comment is "not at this point lol" or "I'm planning on taking it slower than that."

It's possible, whether he admits it or not, that he was drinking when he sent the butt comment. If you think there's any chance of anything being there, you can give him another chance and see how he respects you on a date. Then you are ready to make a decision to end it or see him again.

No idea, maybe he is just a bit touchy feely but obviously likes you. If it bothers you then just tell him not to touch you so much.
