Do smiley faces during text indicate he may like you?

He uses then a lot and :P faces too. He's 28 so I'm guessing he doesn't use them unless he's actually smiling, it's really cute when he does it, does it mean anything web a guy sends faces after texts. Like good night :), or ha ha thanks :P type texts. We don't see ragout her a lot even tho we work in the same building. I sent him jokingly "hey maybe we can talk in person sometime" and he responded ":) we will". We see each other quickly in passing, so I sent him that after I saw him, it's a good sign right?

Totally depends on the guy.

If he chats with you way differently than with anyone else, then this could certainly mean something, but I'm guessing you have no way of knowing that.

He might use the smileys with a lot of people. It's pretty normal. And he might just be trying to be friendly with you.

On the other hand, I think it's good to be optimistic, so you have the right attitude.
