What does it mean when he randomly gives me his hoodie?

This guy I just got to know recently told me he likes me. I was over at his house for the very first time yesterday. He was showing me and talking about this new hoodie he bought himself, claiming it was comfy and chill. I told him I liked it (without hinting to me wanting to borrow it - not that I'd mind) and he told me I could wear it if I wanted. I changed to it, and he told me I looked good in it. We were watching TV, sitting pretty close, and it started getting pretty hot. I told him I was gonna change to my t-shirt because of the heat. He said that if I wanted to, he'd let me take it home. And I did, despite the fact that it was kind of random. I still thought it was cute of him. But what do I do with it now? I mean, he must've wanted me to do something with it, right? Why else would he have asked me if I wanted to take it home? So I was thinking he might have wanted the smell of my perfume on it, or just for me to wear it in public, or when I'm with my friends to let them know I'm his girl (even though that's not quite true). Also maybe I should mention that I'm a year older than this guy. And where I live, it's kind of status to have older friends or an older girlfriend/boyfriend. Younger girlfriends and boyfriends however... Hahaha, but he's so handsome, and he's friends with pretty much all my classmates :-) So it's a win-win. Thanks!
