Girls...What signals say he's "cocky" or a "player"?

Please don't take this the wrong way, but people seem to think I get a lot of girls and I hear these things often. I don't like it at all, and couldn't be further from the truth. I'm a pretty good looking guy and I like dressing well, but it doesn't mean I think I'm better than anyone, and I for damn sure don't go around playing with a girls feelings.

I just want to know, what are some of the signs that you've seen before that made you say these things? Maybe it can help me stop some behaviors I'm unintentionally doing. :\

From my experiences cocky would have to be the guys that always are talking about themselves and I don't mean they just flat out just say me me me its like they always find someway to twist a conversation into being about them or looking at what they can do or talking about what they have done or how your not as good as them. Also it seems that they usually think they the hottest coal in the fire they think that everyone should want their body guys and girls like guys should want a body like his and girls shouldn't be able to resist. They also seem to have an air of arrogance surrounding them. And they are confident...sometimes overly.

Now a player from my experience doesn't think he is (or physically is) necessarily the best looking guy but he knows how to charm and smooth talk his way into a girls life. He has all the smooth words, flirty tendencies and he knows how to pay a girl the right kind of attention to keep her hooked. He also knows how to juggle multiple girls and even when he gets caught its his smooth talking that gets him out of it. He has confidence too but it's not annoyingly arrogant like a cocky guy its just plain old confidence...Well that's what I've noticed in my life don't know if it helps you or not but good luck! :)

People just like to make assumptions off of people.

When you see someone by the way they are dressed, or the mannerisms, people usually already have an idea in their mind of what type of person they are meeting. They are usually wrong when they do this. Your job is to prove them wrong, show that you are not like that. Judging people off of first impressions are usually unaccurate.

For me to think someone is cocky, they have to be constanting in looking the mirror or speaking about themselves like they are the greatest on earth.

For me to think someone is a player, they have to stare at every girl that walks in and be very flirtatous towards almost every girl they lay their eyes on. A lot of people also assume someone is a player when they are good looking because they can get almost any girl they want.

theyre always showing off putting others down act competitive with other guys, call others ugly or rate them based on looks, and just act immature and full of themselves. ---> cocky

too many female friends, always looking at other girls, always flirty with other girls, too comfortable with women, always on his phone Facebook calling talking to people, living his cyber life, too extroverted and parties a lot, drinks smokes, forgets things people tell him, especially girls, will forget a girls name or something she told him, can't keep track of all of them ---> player

Being cocky isn't necessarily bad, it shows you have confidence, which helps. Unless you are overly cocky which basicly proves you are insecure by trying too hard to prove you are good.

Don't care too much what other think, think about how you treat others and how you act, not how you look! if you like dressing what you deem well then do it!

Saying you are pretty good looking can be classified cocky, but I think it's in a good way. It shows you are proud of who you are, which is good. As long as you don't intentionally hurt anyone just be who you want to be!

I say a player is not a player by how he looks, but how he treats people. He may see himself as an alpha and deem himself better than others. But if you don't think you are better than others you don't really have to worry in my opinion.

To me someone who's cocky is just simply full of themselves. They talk about themselves highly and often and act not so appreciative of a compliment but instead like, "I know". They are just arrogant and act better than others.

Some people might not even be cocky but are seen that way because they cross that fine line between it and confidence just a tad too much.

Someone that's a player, to me, is just someone who can't be serious and straight up with someone. They lead a person on to thinking they want more than they really do to get what they want instead of being upfront about what they want and finding someone who wants the same thing. Additionally it could be someone who gets around a lot but that itself isn't really a "player" to me unless they are manipulative and shady.

If you carry yourself well and generally look good, chicks will assume you do well with chicks.
