Why do men think foreign women are better than American women?

I read a question earlier and admit that I had never really heard about that before.  I was wondering the reasons why men feel this way?  I think I got the question I read linked here.

SOME men think that, but certainly not a majority, much less ALL men. The ones who do think that way are mostly guys who want a girl who is more comfortable with traditional gender roles, where men work, provide for the family, and provide leadership for the family, and women stay home, manage the household and much of the child-raising. In MANY countries around the world, women do this and are perfectly happy and comfortable doing so, and that's much less true here in the US, where not only do women have much more OPPORTUNITY, but women have been told that it's WRONG for them to want to stick to traditional gender roles, and have been made to feel bad if they do.

While feminism in the US has certainly made many things better (for everyone), MILITANT feminism has done a lot of damage, and has left a lot of women who feel OBLIGATED to go to college and have a career even if what they really want to do is stay home, raise a family, and be a mom. And I think it's terrible that some women have been made to feel guilty for doing that. Real feminism recognizes that women should be able to CHOOSE what they want to do in life, and choosing to be a mom and housewife is a valid choice. It's certainly not the ONLY choice, but for those who want it, it's an honorable choice, because what could possibly be more important than raising your own children and giving them the love, care, and education that only you can give them?

Most other countries haven't had that, so they don't have the emotional baggage about being a housewife and mother, and men who struggle to find that in an American woman may choose to look to foreign women to find it.

It's not just "American women". But I'd guess that women from many/any affluent country tends to be less docile, more confident and comes across as strong to a guy. For the male of the species, who has grown up being used to the role of the 'dominant' gender, this can be very threatening.

I do find more affluent women to be a bit more threatening...

Asian women are incredibly feminine and docile (and I'm not using this in the pejorative sense here). So are African. European women tend to be a bit more subtle and conscious about what they say and how. Though these are wide brush strokes.

Btw, foreign women too love Western men -- they appear as richer and more promising then their own guys.

On the other hand, I've seen forms of sex tourism in third world countries (though you might not call it that) where Western women flock in droves to catch up with African or Asian guys (parts of Africa, Asia, Kenya, Tunisia, the Caribbean, etc). You might ask what Western women find attractive in these guys. In my view, they offer them exactly what their own guys don't ... they like the Western women, and fall for them (even if their affluence is one big magnet). Also these guys are willing to play less dominant roles... even as women have turned more independent themselves.

I have NEVER in my life read more ignorant, offensive, disrespectful, idiotic statements in my life then from some of the men commenting on this.

Almost laughable and disgraceful that these men could even say stuff like this. I'd rather be a fat ugly American woman than to actually beleive and be able to type stuff like that about women from your own country.

This qustion makes it seem to me that Amerian men are all hateful, bitter, disrespectful, fat, laughable, idiots.

Sickening to me that I just got called lazy, fat, ignorant, shallow, and practically worthless by grown men from my own country who have never met me.

I lived in Europe for 7 years and travel there yearly and honestly on AVERAGE European women are better.  There are also more abounded "good women" in Europe than America.  First of all there are much much more beautiful women in Europe.  The U.S is the leading country in obessity, that says it all.  For every gorgeous girl I see in America in a day, there are 10 more even prettier in Europe.  It's insane at how many there are.  I know beauty isn't everything, personality matters a lot, actually more.  However, beauty has a HUGE impact on a person's personality, especially when it comes to women.  Since there are much less pretty girls in the U.S, the ones that are beautiful get a lot of attention, which makes them think much more of themselves.  This is what ruins girls in America, the fact that their self value is completely wrong.  In Europe, a pretty girl isn't a big deal so she doesn't get as much attention as she would have if she lived in the U.S and basically lowers the chances of her being a self-centered bitch.  Am not saying all pretty girls from the U.S are self-centered, but compared to Europe it's a huge difference.  Girls from Europe are just much sweeter, open, and accepting than women in the U.S, at least in my experience.

We look for people that are reality based that appreciate a man and that is normally in foreign countries.  So we get them and treat them well and they appreciate it because they are not spoiled so much as we are here in the US.  It makes us very very happy and so we tend to hold on to them dearly which is what makes a marriage successful.  Meanwhile  American  women are hard to deal with and don't appreciate us.  We see too much focused on money and prestige and relationships ending in divorce.  Some tend to let themselves go after marriage and we don't find them sexually appealing so they resemble a tick just feeding off our life.  Or they think they are a princess.  They seem to never be wrong and are NEVER the reason a relationship ends.  Its always the other persons fault.  These tendencies seem to be in every  American  girl of working against us so its not relative to a happy life.  We look at this and feel its insane to do the same thing expecting different results.  We can always find our sex elsewhere so we opt for that and someone who likes to be with us.  We can work and do so many things but its never enough and I have noticed that no matter what it is NEVER the  American  women's fault a relationship ends... Its always the mans fault...  When there is a lack of a relationship where we feel unloved and unappreciated then we tend to stop feeding your stupidity and look elsewhere. Quality is where we look for.  A sound personality, enjoyable to be with and friendship that leads to love.  Its just not in US women... Sorry...

All men, or just American? This is just a generalization, but foreign men might be turned off by the larger average size of American women. American women are usually considered more obnoxious as well. I can't speak for all American men. My girlfriend isn't American, but I wasn't attracted to her because she is foreign. The world is a smaller place than it used to be though. It's easier to meet people from other parts of the world. My feeling is that a lot of American guys are intrigued by something different.

They tend to be easier sexually, easier to manipulate and more naive. Men in different countries have their own social norms so when a foreign woman comes along their easier to navigate than women who are from the same place their from and have a general better understanding of what is acceptable social behavior.

There is a lot of unjustified hate towards women in this house. Therefore, it doesn't challenge my intellect as much as my tolerance.

Beyond that misogynistic noise, men seek women who are passive and traditional (barefoot and pregnant; cooks and cleans). American women are pushing beyond that into a more independent lifestyle. This is one of a dozen reasons or so American men prefer foreign women.
