When texting, does it annoy you when someone says "K" or "OK"

I realize that "OK" is a song from COD:BO2 (a very cool song, by the way) but when you're texting someone, does it bother you when they do that?

Depends. If I texted something relatively long and that's all I get, I'd probably get annoyed because they're not even gonna respond to something I obviously had something to say about. Or it worries me that they're annoyed. But if I said something short or something that didn't need much responding to (such as "I'll be there in a sec"), then a responses like that won't annoy me.

Not really. I use it when someone is telling me a long story, to let them know I'm still here and still listening (reading) and with them.

The only time it would bother me is if it was a response to something I texted like "I love you" or "I'm really going through a hard time right now, I really need you," - stuff like that.

Depends. If I just texted someone saying "Be there in 5" or something and they sent a quick "K" in acknowledgement, that's perfect. But for everything else, I want to punch the person in the throat and say, "Use your words!"

I don't even think that "K" is good to use when saying "I'll be there in 5". I think it would be nice for them to say, OK, I'll see you there, or something like that.

Well, as a girl I get that sometimes a person is kind of busy. Like straightening hair, or putting on makeup. Or I could understand a guy shaving or whatever guys to do get ready. I'd rather just tap K and send than stop what I'm doing and write out a message when I don't really have to.

Only if I would text a girl I like, and I try to keep conversation going or something and she replies with OK or k... But then again, in that case I would know to stop texting, because she doesn't want to talk... In other cases OK or k are just fine. :)

Depends on the context... if it's just a confirmation type of thing it's fine, a little more casual than "Copy" or "Roger".

If I just sent like an important story in need of advice though, "K" is not an acceptable response.

What is there to explain? When people say, "OK" or "K" in their texts, It doesn't bother me. I just put the phone down and go about my business.

Me: Meet me at the mall at 10 tomorrow. So we can hang out.

Friend: OK I'll be there.

Me: I'll be at your house in 5 mins. See you soon.
