Guy greets me by calling me "my dear", showing interest or friendly?

I kind of know him, we have some mutual friends and have met a handful of times. The last time I saw him he greeted me with "hello my dear." Obviously the my means something.

He also tends to be a bit moody, so I don't know if that means anything.

I say "hi beautiful" when I see girls I know. Im not gay either, I just say it because of the smile they get when I say it

that completely depends, I can do it to girls because they've heard me say "hi beautiful" to other girl-friends. does he do it to other girls or does he single you out and make you feel special?

I honestly don't know, the few I have been around no, but he could still do it when I am not around. The others are his friends wives/girlfriends, or girls he knows that I know he doesn't like (not as friends so I doubt he'd flirt with)

you could always drop a hint and see how he reacts, you could also try escalating it with hugs when you see him and stuff if you like him

I wouldn't look too much into him saying my dear, because he might say it to every cute female he comes across. He might actually like you, who knows.. Its kind of hard to say.

I have guys all the time call me "Miss," "honey," and yes---"my dear." Unless you are feeling something Else in the air but just his polite gentleman like way of greeting you, over look it for now. xx
