Is 5.9 ft. height tall for a man?

I asked a guy at work if 5.9 feet is tall for a guy and he said "no, it's an average height".

It is tall right?

It's average in the U.S. I think, for men of northern european descent its on the short side, in some places in the world might be on the tall side (note the difference is diet not genetics).

No it’s an average height, 5”10 is a higher average height, 5”11 is the highest average, 6”0 is the cutoff between average and tall, and 6”1+ is tall.

No, it's average if not a little below average. I'm 5'11". I think that's more of an average height. 6'2" and above is what I'd consider tall.
