I started uni very recently and before it started, i had become friends with a guy who's going to the same department as mine on social media. We exchanged texts daily and the exchange was playful and fun. He even said we'd be inseparable close friends by graduation and i expected so too. but unfortunately, we didn't get into the same class, which virtually means we won't have contact with each other even on the same campus because classes are completely separate. Still, last week when uni started, we finally met for an info session at uni and went to lunch together before that. I enjoyed chatting with him because it was very easy to talk to him and i assumed he did too, but later that day when I texted him and suggested that we hang out again sometime soon after class, he texted me back and said not anytime soon bc he'll be busy with classes and other activities, strangely also adding that he would prefer to hang out in a group next time even if there's next time. i'm sure he's not in a relationship and i never suggested anything romantic and i genuinely just want to hang out with him again because it was fun chatting with him. since then, his replies got very slowly and much shorter. On top of that, i asked him this week if he'd like to go to an interesting uni event this week after class with me and when he finally replied he shortly just said he'd take a rain check (as his classes end before noon that day and the event is in the evening) and suggested i ask someone else particularly in my class out. I can't help feeling he's no longer interested in maitaining our still new friendship. and it's realistically very likely to just fizzle out as i don't see him at uni and texting is pretty much the only communication between us. Should i just let it naturally fade away without trying to keep the texting going and just forget about him or try to keep in touch with him by still sending him messages?

Specifically when you've only been talking for a few weeks/months, and nothing specific happened.

I’ve worked with a guy for two and a half years. We have a flirty relationship and we tease each other. Examples of him flirting include: prolonged eye contact, staring, gazing into both eyes and at my mouth, doing silly things to get my attention, showing slight jealousy.

We bumped into each other on a night out and a random person thought we were a couple. He said “I should be so lucky” and later on I admitted to him that I really like him and have feelings for him.

I asked him if he liked me/felt the same way and he said “you’re a lovely person”. I kept asking him, and he kept saying the same thing.

I then said “please answer the question” and he snapped at me saying “yes I do but we can’t be together”

We both drank a bit but he didn’t seem overly drunk at all.

Do you think there was any truth in what he said and do you think he meant it?

I have a flirty relationship with a male colleague. We told each other that we liked each other on a night out when we were slightly drunk.

Just a brief summary of his flirting: he teases me because he likes annoying me, he does silly things to get my attention, he stares at me, I’ve seen him glancing at my body

The other day, we were sitting next to each other and chatting. I noticed that he kept glancing at both of my eyes and then kept looking at my mouth. He kept doing this repeatedly. We then sat gazing and smiling at each other, not saying anything, for what seemed like ages.

Today, we were joking around and I told him to fight me for something. He then proceeded to stand right in front of me, so close that we were almost touching, and then he stared at me.

Does this suggest that he still likes me?

If you were interested in a girl, would you be discouraged from asking her out if you overhead her saying that she was trying to avoid places where her crush went, so that she could stop liking him? Would you be worried that even though she was trying to get over him, she might still be too emotionally tied to him to be interested in you? Or would you take the opportunity to ask her out, since she seems to be going through a vulnerable time of not feeling desirable?

I have a huge crush on a colleague that I’m close to. We flirt and have banter. We also make a lot of eye contact. Recently, there was a “moment” between us when he kept glancing at both of my eyes and my mouth, and then we were gazing into each others eyes while smiling.

This morning, I was eyeing up some sweets on the shelf. I said I was going to have them and he said he would fight me for them. I said “go on then” and he stood in front of me so we were facing each other. But he stood extremely close to me, so that we were almost body to body and we were both staring at each other for what seemed like a prolonged period of time. He is significantly taller than me and he was just staring into my eyes

Could this indicate that he likes me more than a friend?

it’s probably my overthinking but I’m worried that my colleague doesn’t like me in that way.

He has sometimes displayed signs of being slightly jealous (going quiet when I talk about other men, interrupting my conversation with another guy) and on a recent night out, we both confessed that we like each other (while slightly drunk)

He was teasing me about how short I am. I said, “I enjoy being short and cute”

He said - “I’m not commenting on that”

Me - “what did you say?”

Him - “nothing”

Me - “oh so now you’re disputing that I’m cute?”

and he didn’t respond.

Did he ignore me because he doesn’t think I’m cute or attractive?

So now I’m being crazy, but because he ignored what I said, does that mean he doesn’t find me attractive or cute?

i confessed my feelings for my online bestie the other day. we've known each other for about only one and a half months but i found myself already liking him that way and wishing we were together as partners, not just besties. this is rare for me, as i've rarely had a crush. we are very compatible and my intuition has been telling me he's the one. both of us havb never been in a relationship yet even though we're uni age. at the very begging, we used to be flirty and playful and he even said he might already like me romantically too, but after a few days, he said he rushed into it a bit too much just because he assumed getting into a relationship would make him feel better but he realized he'd first have to focus on himself through selfcare and improve his self confidence and stuff before getting into relationship and he's not ready for it, especially long distance. also, he said he doesn't know if he really likes me romantically and he's learned not to fall in love easily online from his past experience. i then asked him if there's any chance we could be together in the future after we meet up (probably next year, this December at the earliest but next summer is more likely, but neither is set so i can't be sure ) , but he said he doesn't know because the future is unpredictable to anyone, which is true and he also kept saying he doesn't want me to wait on him since when we meet up and he decides we can't date i'd get hurt and he'd feel bad for making me wait only to get rejected after all in the end and he just wants me to be happy. but i can't help hoping we can be together in the future. should i completely move on from now already ( it'd take time ofc, but i'm resilient so i think i can train myself over time to move on and just stay besties with him ) or is it okay for me to let myself continue liking him that way and secretly wait for him to judge when he comes to my country sometime hopefully next year.

He literally told me he wanted to be my comfort zone the morning before he blocked me.
I have no idea how to take this, no information, no explanation, not even a fight. Literally nothing that could have prepared me for this.
We always told the other to be honest, clear and encouraged the other to speak their mind, no matter how difficult.
Now I haven't heard from him in three weeks and it hurts my heart.
Will I ever even learn?
Will he keep me blocked forever?

i have a male best friend that is currently traveling. We knew each other from school and got very close. He told me about the girls he went out with etc. At first we rarely texted each other however since he left school we texted for about 3 months. We flirted, sent pics, and stuff. All of a sudden he became distant and i knew it there must be another girl there. And im right. So I decided not to reply to his text. Somehow i get very angry cause he didn’t say anything about who he went out with, but at the same time i don’t think i have a right to feel angry.

I was walking out of a room but then I turned around because I forgot something. A guy was walking behind me and as I turned around, I noticed his eyes were looking down at my legs and then he looked at me.

When I came back into the room, he was sat down and he looked at my legs again.
