I have a question for smokers only!

I want to get my boyfriend to stop smoking :( my question: would rather go a day without eating or smoking? And why?

Just trying to figure out how hard it's gonna be for him since I don't smoke myself. .

I'll say without smoking because I'm hypoglycemic, and if I don't eat for too long I'll pretty much pass out. If it weren't for that I'd probably go for smoking. I quit recently from march first til sometime late April. Just decided I wanted to smoke again. Like sweatgirl says, you need to want to quit. In march I legitimately wanted to quit because it was bugging me, and I was done with it. After a while it got to the point of wanting a cigarette, but not having one because I knew it would piss people off who were so happy that I'd quit. It's something you need to do for yourself though. So I said screw em, and started again.

Does it still count as quitting if I've quit just a week and a half ago?
But then I guess it's different for me, I never got hooked on to smokes. Never did smoke very much, just like a f** a day or something.

I have been smoking since the age of 14. I have tried many times to try and quit and its very hard. I tried the patch, but it gave me nightmares so I stopped using it. He has to want to quit smoking and can't do it for you or others in his life. its something he wants to do for himself otherwise he won't be successful at quitting. I found that I smoked more when people put pressure on me to quit smoking.

I quit smoking last summer. Back when I was living alone and I'd have $8 bucks to get either food or cigarettes, i would always choose cigarettes.

I would definitely go without smoking
if people would only know how dangerous
this habit is , it's cause cancer related
deaths in many close relatives to me
my mom, her brother (uncle), my grand-dad,
etc and they died at young ages.

It is hard, really hard. Don"t hassle him, if he stops realise he may slip at first. I wanna give up but it is not easy. I answered A but probably wouldn't manage it xx
