Does giving birth hurt if you get an epidural?

Somebody told me her giving birth didn't hurt after they gave her an epidural. If this is true I would like to try it. The main reason I never bothered to get married is because I'm worried about birth pains.

The epidural hurts like he**! With my second I was still in a lot of pain because the epidural only worked on half. But seriously don't let it stop you from getting married. It's not THAT bed and it's totally worth it in the end.

not everyone has kids. Marry someone who doesn't want kids.and if decide you want kids you can adopt.

epidural is given through your spine so im pretty sure THAT hurts a bunch. I've never had a spinal tap but i hear its one of the most painful procedures bc they can't numb your spine and its where all the nerves are centered.

i dont think fear of pain is a reason not to give birth. billions do it all the time for billions of years... you probably just dont really want kids.. which is ok. there are already plenty of kids who need homes.

My wife had one and it still hurt her like shit. I think they fucked it up though.
