How do you feel about medicine?

Everyone I have talked to lately is giving me weird eyes when i tell them how much i hate medicine.
I decided not to take anything when i got my wisdom teeth removed (meaning pain pills after) because i was put under.
I also decided not to have an epidural when giving birth to my little boy.
The only medicine i am currently taking is necessary.
I stay away from over the counter drugs as well. It's just a choice. A choice i have made because of past experiences and family trends.
What do you think about it?

It's definitely a bad idea to get hooked on meds. They can really mess you up when you don't use them right. But I think that avoiding all forms of medication simply because someone you know had a bad experience with one form of medication is quite stupid. Medicine can save lives when it's used properly.

oh yeah i hear ya. I take a heart medication. i'm just wanting to know views on choice medicine

I always try my best to stay away from them. I don't want my body to get used to them so i only take them when im in excruciating pain

I think its a good thing if you can handle the pain. I have severe back issues from an injury and I have to take pain meds quite often to sleep and function normally. Overall, I think its wise if you can do it cuz they are not good for you and can be addictive.

Your best for staying away from them medicines
if you don't need then why bother taking them
i take 12 medications a day and trust me it sucks
but they are all prescribed and I refuse to take
pain killers like morphine, codeine

That's pretty wise. When I got surgery, I meditated and blocked the pain out, my jar of painkillers was full by the time I was walking again.

Medicine is just an better alternative than being sick/pain. They're bad as you can get.
