There is a misconception with women that bone structure or body shape can be easily attained or changed. It can't.
If you weren't born with a thigh gap, aka wide hips, you won't be able to get them easily, unless you starve the shit out of yourself.
If you weren't born with an hourglass figure, you won't get it. Not without crazy surgeries and implants.
If you really want to turn your ruler or apple shape into hourglass, you'd have to remove perhaps the bottom rib. Get ass implants. Do squats and legs workouts to build leg. But remember with workouts, you can't really "target" one area to improve, your whole body will change.
I do not recommend rib removal or ass implants. But if that's important, that'd be the fastest way.
Squats and leg workouts will probably help, but you won't look as curvy as the second chick.
Regardless, the first figure looks good as well. Not every woman was meant to look like an hourglass. If it'll really make you happy, just know that it's really tough to drastically change bone structure without surgeries.

impossible because you can't alter your hip bones BUT you can build muscles up to gain a little more curve in the hip and butt area and do belly dancing to tighten up the waist a bit. i belly dance and i lost 1 1/2 inches from my waist line in a few months but since then its stayed the same so dont expect it to drop you more than an inch or two and dont expect to look like the girl in the photo its genetics there and youd need surgery.
id recommend squats, side leg lifts/Hip Abduction Sidelying then start strapping ankle weights to your legs when they become easy.
i was as straight as you but i managed to gain a lot of butt muscle and a little curve in the hips and waist from these things
dude. you can't change where your bones are placed... corset-training is going to fuck up the placement of your organs and is NOT worth it.

being curvy means having a waist noticeably smaller than hips, not being thicker. here's another pic of second girl, she's a lot curvier than me because of her hips and little waist:

I should mention that the shape of your body is all genetics. You can however manipulate the ILLUSION of it. Losing body weight will slim your stomach/love handles and if you keep building muscle, you will have bigger hips/butt while keeping a slim waist.

Angie Varona (second girl) doesn't have wide hips. Are you referring to ass or hips? there's a difference.
Her hips aren't big but they're wider than mine and a little rounded which is what i want. I don't want big hips but i would like for my hips to curve outwards more like hers instead of being so straight up and down.

@Invoker I'm sorry but my sympathy is sorta limited with her... for one, she posted the photos publicly herself. On photobucket. Secondly, she cries about it, then posts MORE half naked photos... and every day since then (and isn't she like 20 now?) she posts more half naked photos of herself. Like... I don't know, if someone posted racy photos of me online without my permission, I wouldn't turn around and post the photos again myself.

I don't think you can change from a banana-shape to an hour-glass shape without plastic surgery..
I'm an upside down triangle shape... wide shoulders and top half, straight waist and little hips. Even if I can't really change how my waist is shaped (bc it's already small) I'd at least like rounder hips.
if most of your fat cells are genetically stored in your upper body, you can't redirect them to your hips without liposuction.
All you can do without surgery.. is to wear clothes that are flattering for your shape and make you more hourglass shape.. or wear 'fatsuits' around the hips

Best way is to eat clean and do some resistance training (squats would help especially to drop body fat and tone legs and butt).
