Do you find pear shaped women ugly? What's your opinion?

For those who don't know, a pear shaped body is one that has shoulders that are narrower than the hips and have a sort of smallish waist. This body type usually means the women - or girl in my case - has big thighs and big but. I have recently found out that I have this body shape and am completely freaking out because my so called ' friend ' said that this type of body shape meant that you wear going to be fat and ugly when older. I tried to shake it off but well.. I can't. My 'friend' isn't the most trustworthy and constantly puts me down she was talking about her eighteenth birthday party last week - bear in mind were thirteen- and then turned to me and said - that should give you enough time to slim down and fit into a dress-. Anyway, I am quite short 5ft 2inch and my chest is quite big however I can only see three ribs and have some overhanging flab.
Anyway, what is your preference body type? what can I do to become more... appealing?

I have officially ditched my 'friend' and I have now have a date - squeak! - he said 'he hasn't talk to me before because a) my head is always stuck in a book or sketch pad and b) he was slightly afraid of Liberty and wanted to see if I could gain enough confidence to become my own person. He is really sweet and gentlemanly as well as really... well hot. He gives me a lot of confidence and hope that all guys aren't well.. idiots.
