Why have I been getting the hiccups so much lately?

I rarely get the hiccups but lately it's the worst! 😡😑

It's somethin to do with air being trapped in the esophagus I think.

Try eating a couple of spoon fulls of brown sugar, that gets rid of them for me.

Is that related to acid reflux?

I think if the acid reflux is caused by a hiatel hernia then that can also cause hiccups to occur more often.

No a tall glass will do - I think it is more to do with the breathing while you drink it rather than the volume of water.

No I thinking drinking makes you take certain type of breaths that helps you with the hiccups.

You should drink water and hold your breath.

Luckily those tricks have helped but it seems like there's no guarantee it will work every time. They keep coming back too
