Do chubby girls look good in two piece bathing suits?

Question

Summer is here, and I'm going to be getting a new bathing suit. I weigh 137lbs and am 5'4, and was wandering if I would look good in a high top bikini? I want a completely unbiased opinion, because I'm sure my friends and family are just telling me what they think I want to hear. (Pictures attached, including one with me sitting down to show my stomach at all angles.)

You're not that big, but plus size girls often look really good in high waisted bikinis, something that focus on showing the waist or a piece with "distractions" that will lead the eyes away from the flaws, like these:

Honestly, this is the worst place to get advice on your body. If you have any self-confidence you better be prepared to lose it. There's surprisingly a lot of people on here that are fit, therefore they prefer fit people and they can also be dicks to anyone who weighs more than they do.
I personally believe you look fine and you should wear what you want. I also believe that if someone takes time out of their day to judge you based on your looks, it says more about them than it does you. Meaning they're judgmental pricks who need a better hobby.

First off, you're not fat, you just have a little untoned stomach area. I'm not using an bias here, I swear, but I think you look great. Honestly it's a matter of who you're looking at. You could pull off a bikini, and then there are others who couldn't. Honestly, very few people have a flat stomach when they sit down, I know I dont :) , so don't worry about that.

Darling, most women have some extra meat on their bones and I'm one of them. There's really no such thing as thinner or thicker women looking better in a bikini because its all really just opinion. Long story short, yes you could totally rock a bikini, the key is to getting a bikini that suits your body type... You seem like a pear shape if that helps. :) Good luck! And Chin up!

Pfffff you're fiinnneee! Who cares if maybe you're a little chunky? If it makes you feel uncomfortable get a tankini. It's a two piece but the top is a tank top and they're really cute tbh. I've seen girls a lot bigger than you in bikinis too tbh. Just do your thing and work it 😊

Wear what you're comfortable in. They have 2 piece swimsuits with bottoms that come up a little higher that are super cute. I have one, and I'm bigger than you. It's all about what you're comfortable in tho. That's what matters at the end of the day. Not what anyone else thinks.

Sorry but that does not look good in a bikini and Im 115 pounds and I h ave my flabby belly believe it and I won't wear a 2 piece bikin. You may try a tankini it hides the flaws that is what I wear

If you want to go with two piece, I reccomend going with high waisted bikini bottoms but overall, who cares what anyone else thinks? If you feel comfortable in a bikini more than a one peice, go for the bikini. Life is seriously too short to be putting restrictions on our selfs because of what others think.

I think a bikini would look better on you than a bathing suit , a bathing suit might make you look even more chubbier

I think you look fine very few of us have a flat tummy when we are sitting down - The top two look well and a bikini will be okay on you.

They make lots of different two pieces to flatter different kinds of bodies. So just find one that you're comfortable in. You shouldn't avoid them because you feel chubby, but you can find one that flatters you.

It totally dpends on the girl. Too much chubby doesn't look good, but you don't look chubby tbh. You have healthy fat on your body so you'll look good in a bikini
