She's my favorite female tennis player. Yesterday I was teasing my friends that she won the Wimbledon, a grand slam, once again, as usual and blah blah but then I received an unexpected and very disguising reply from them that "she's a man" and they started to laugh. I asked them "WTF?" they replied that it is because she is ripped and over-powered like a man and she is a black beast. It was utter ignorance and pathetic belief some people have. Some people think that black women have a lot of masculine traits but this is a fucking stereotype. I hate the people who say things like that. My friends apologized later.
We should better ignore them and be happy about her achievements. She is a hard worker and a winner in "WOMEN'S" tennis and that's a fact. No official party will listen to these ignorant racists that she's a man. Cheers! :)

I remember when Shawn Johnson win the Olympic gold medal in gymnastics and a bunch of people said she looked chunky and unattractive. Yeah that's called muscle and it won her a gold medal.
It just seems like people are heavily critical of female athletes. Like even though their goal first and foremost is to be the best people expect them to be delicate and feminine first. Well they're not models and they're not centerfolds. They're athletes and the ones who take it seriously enough to rise to the top, especially in sports that involve lots of explosiveness and power, are going to undergo a training regimen that reshapes their body to optimize it for performance. That's why Anna Kournikova stopped competing. She wasn't willing to take her training to the level it needed to reach for her to succeed as an athlete because she didn't want to jeopardize her figure.
More like passionate about logic. Too many people look at real sports the way they do the WWE, where the female "athletes" are models and centerfolds and pinups first and athletes second. The world is full of real female with let's who would destroy those women in the ring if that were real and not scripted, but they couldn't be marketed to playboy or maxim magazine. In the real world with real sports athletes train for performance. Not for a bikini body or a photo shoot.

She gets labeled because she has a large and powerful body that isn't the classic definition of femininity. There are guys who get labeled as effeminate because their bodies don't fit the gender stereotype, too, so it's not just her who deal with stereotypes.
