Can you detect lung cancer through a blood test?

Yes there is blood test that can detect whether you have cancer but not specifically lung cancer. They use biomarkers to detect the possibility of the cancer. And currently they develop the way to use multiple biomarkers to detect specific type of cancer.

No. Blood tests are not used to diagnose cancer. They'd help determine your overall health but I've never heard of a blood test being used to diagnose lung cancer.

No they would have to give a person CT Scan/ Ultrasound of the lungs but some blood work can come back abnormal...

Ultrasound of the lungs is not painful at all also they need to recognize typical lung cancer symptoms such as a Chronic cough with blood in the mucous
