Best acne products?

I don't have severe acne. Just mainly black heads and oily skin. I want to be black head/ acne free before senior prom. I also have a showcase coming in November too. Any good acne products? I tried proactive, x-out, and clearsal.

I've tried all the marketed brands, and nothing truly worked for me on a specific care treatment. So I switched things up, and will give you my treatment below.

1. Trentinoin, or also called Retina- A. This stuff does wonders, and helps you not age as well. Which is incredible as I've been using it for 7 years, and out of the 7. I've noticed that my aging has decreased, and almost diminished. As well as my acne has decreased as well, and removed some of the scaring. (NOTE: Use this at night.)
2. Clean and Clear moisturizer. Use this during the day, and put it on about 10 minutes after you shower in the morning. It will help moisten your skin, and help prevent acne.
3. Neutrogena face wash is often a great one. I tried to get the one with the micro-cleansers. Which helps remove dirt, and oil as well from your face.
4. Fish Oil is a big plus as it helps with inflammation, and decreases the fats to which cause acne as well.
5. Taking two showers a day. Now, this is optional as it seems to be 50/50 if it works. However, if you are only able to take a shower at least once a day. Take it before you go to bed as you never want to go bed with a oily face. It will just increase your likely hood of getting worse acne.

I used to be just like you when I was your age, I tried ever mainstream acne product and they worked but they stopped working after a while, so i gave up using those dumb products and this is what I did. I went and bought a daily face wash, I use Cetaphil Daily Face Wash for Oily Skin, then I bought a Moisturizer, I use Neutragina Moisturizer for sensitive skin. I wash my face in the morning in the shower and I put the moisturizer on after, I only do this once a day, yes only once a day, don't do it twice, trust me. You should start seeing a huge difference in just 3 days

yeah i tried proactive and it didn't work for me haha

I use the "3 Step" products from Clinique (cleanser, toner, moisturizer). you can customize it based on your skin type. They also have a special set that is their "Acne Solutions" set.

I also started washing my pillowcase more often and started using a makeup/face wipe right before bed every night (even if i didn't wear makeup that day)

I've found that I just need to be disciplined in keeping with my routine. every now and then i breakout but for the most part I have decent skin haha

Use acne pads like Noxema or Clearasil. They keep your skin oil free and you don''t have to use them all the time. Also, the black heads may be sebaceous filaments (How to tell and what they are here: www.aesacnetreatmentsf.com/.../those-blackheads-on-your-nose-probably-arent-actually-blackheads) If they are actual blackheads, you can use an egg white mask, honey, baking soda paste, or apple cider vinegar!
