Asker+1 yI don't care about the calories. But if it's more healthy I'll start eating dark chocolate, I like it better anyway
Asker+1 yI bought some dark chocolate.. It actually has 544Kcal in 100g and has almost as much sugar as milk chocolate too

Asker+1 yHmm a bar of chocolate has around 50 :/
Opinion Owner+1 y1 won't kill you within moderation.
It's honestly a lot - 100gr of chocolate are about 550kcal which is more than a quarter of your daily 2000, so if you eat a bar each day and still eat normally next to that you're quite likely to gain weight unless you're very physically active.

Asker+1 yI hardly do any exercise but I think I need a lot more than 2000 if I want to not lose weight. Anyway my weight just seems to disapear, I can't hold on to it, I fell down to 56kg and I'm trying to get back up over 60. So the weight thing isn't an issue

Lol how tall are you? You barely weigh more than me! 😳 but yeah you probably have a high metabolism then - if you wanna gain weight though I suggest you to just consume fat in combination with carbs - if you wanna gain muscle weight I suggest you should probably rely more on proteins and weight training.
Either way, I can understand why you love chocolate (who even doesn't?) but it unfortunately isn't at all gonna provide your body with anything useful other than tons of fat and sugar hence is super unhealthy - if you wanna enjoy it without worrying about your health so much you should eat no more than a row a day and the higher the cocoa percentage the better.
Asker+1 yI'm not sure exactly, around 173cm I guess. Well I'd prefer muscle weight, I don't want to be fat, but I'm too lazy to exercise much, plus protein foods are expensive
Milk chocolate has milk in it, it must be healthy! xD Anyway usually I have just 2-3 rows (1/3 -1/2 a bar) which I think is fine, just recentlly I've been craving it a lot and wondered if it'd be fine to eat a whole bar- +1 y
2000 a day is for women 2500 a day for men
- +1 y
I'm from Europe, the NHS recommend daily intake for the average men and women is 2500 and 2000 www.nhs.uk/chq/pages/1126.aspx?categoryid=51
- +1 y
lol yeah but even then it depends from person to person, since he's quite light and doesn't really do any exercise he might have a slower metabolism than the average man (unless he has some kind of thyroid problem) hence won't need as many daily kcal, I just stated the general 2000kcal that are usually stated and are actually pretty accurate for my age group, so sorry for the generalisation but if you wanna know the exact amount of kcal you can eat per day you can use this site @Asker https://www.mydailyintake.net/energy/ :)
- +1 y
Yea there are a thousand and one things that could lower or increase his metabolism but either way this discussion is pointless because I think we both agree that one bar a day is too much

Lol. I just posted a take you might be interested in too just a old training one might be worth a read if you want

Asker+1 yI've used a calculator thing and even saying I don't do any exercise it says I need 2500. I think for males my age the recomended is 2500-3000, or even more for people who exercise a lot
Asker+1 yActually if I put very active in the calculator it says I need 3800 haha
+1 yEating the same sweet everyday is worse for you than switching it up. You get the exact same fats and sugars, causing for higher amounts of fat storage, especially if its milk chocolate.

Asker+1 yWell for me it's a daily treat :P
I voted B, but only cause I do it (so I might be bias xD). I don't eat the entire bar of course, I just eat half of it.
Asker+1 yI'm asking about a whole bar ;P I eat half of one each day too
Asker+1 yAh okay :D I just always have a bar at my pc and sit on my pc all day eating a new square once the flavour goes away :P

+1 yIt depends. 100 gr of chocolate has approximately 500 kcal. If you can fit that in a 2000 kcal daily plan you're fine...

Asker+1 yWell I have no idea how many calories I get, I don't even think about it. But I seem to have to eat so much to not lose weight
+1 yA 52g chocolate bar has about 250 calories in it. The recommended calorie intake for a guy 19-30 is about 2,500 per day. So that's 10% of your calories gone, with very little nutrition.
Asker+1 yI'm talking about an ordinary 100g bar. I know it has over 500 calories but it's hard to get enough calories anyway, so I'm not worried about that. I was wondering about other bad things like (I know too much sugar or) if too much cocoa or something could do bad
- +1 y
"it's hard to get enough calories anyway"
O_o
Anyway, the risk you might not have realised is caffeine poisoning, but if you're devouring a 100g chocolate bar every day, your body is probably used to that amount.
Asker+1 yChocolate has caffeine? O. o Surely there is more in coffee anyway, and I don't drink coffee. I don't eat that much, I was just wondering if it would be okay to
- +1 y
... read the nutritional information on the label.
Asker+1 yIt doesn't say that it contains caffeine. Anyway I looked it up and an entire bar has just as much as a cup of coffee at most.
+1 yWhen I go to school, not just stay inside and do nothing, I do that too, so I don't see it as too much. ^^

Asker+1 yIt doesn't really matter if I go out, I'm not worried about the calories. Actually I'm trying to put weight on
if its the mars, oh Henry stuff, then that's poison and one is too many.
Best chocolate is from Europe.16 Reply
Asker+1 yHenry chocolate? Never heard of it. Yeah it's European chocolate
Asker+1 yI've never been to the west, it's a scary place
Asker+1 yNo just America is scary cause guns are legal. And it's outside the safety bubble of the European Union
Probably? I don't know. I don't eat a lot of sweets but when I do, I totally binge (which is not good either).
00 ReplyOne everyday, maybe. One every few days would be better I think

Asker+1 yUsually I try to make a bar last 3 days but recently I've been having more, I can't stop eating it
Asker+1 yBecause I love chocolate! It's what I live for :3
If you're not going over your calories, your getting your protein needs and eating healthy everywhere else you are fine

+1 yIf you want that, keep it at black bitter chocolate. Other kinds contain too much sugar and fat. (white chocolate contains a lot of fat!)
Asker+1 yDark chocolate is my favourite. I don't really like white chocolate so much but the fat doesn't bother me, I buy 10% fat yoghurt specially for the fat in it :D
Asker+1 yDark chocolate was a bad idea... It's so addictive, I've eaten almost 400g in the last 2 days. And it has almost as much sugar as milk chocolate anyway
- +1 y
400g in 2 days is too much. Look at sugar and fat contents when you buy processed food. American, German, Dutch , Italian chocolate have a higher sugar content than French or Belgian.
Asker+1 yI know, but it's too delicious and I get hungry and I don't have anything else
Anonymous(30-35)+1 yR u crazy that's not enough chocolate is what makes this world amazing 😆
10 ReplyEat it throughout the day you'll be good hey get some dark chocolate and eat it with a protein drink and it helps your body absorb protein

Asker+1 yTotal calories doens't really matter, just if you the wrong amount you can end up losing weight or putting too much on
My personal opinion is thats its way to mutch.
