Yes, it could definitely be from not smoking! That probably plays a big role. A known symptom of nicotine withdrawal is increased appetite. I'm also assuming you can't eat as much since you can barely open your mouth (I haven't had my wisdom teeth removed, but I fractured my jaw and had surgery... could barely eat for weeks). That probably contributes too. Finally, anytime your body experiences any kind of trauma, including oral surgery, your caloric needs increase in order for your body to heal.
And actually, one more thing... if you just happen to be nearing your period, that could make you hungry as well.
