Trending & News Testosterone, produced by the testes, is what causes maturation of the voice. If removed in prepubescent boys, it will preserve their higher ptiched voices, however, in a mature male, removable of the testicles will not result in a higher pitched voice.
*removal*
Thanks Bruh.
I don't think it becomes higher. I heard they use to do this in young Opera boys. Where it would keep their high pitch voice preserved. No idea if it's true.
Holy sheets of bible. Cruelty, if that's true
Test it out yourself.
Cut it for me
Self test?
Not technically. But it does feel like... my voice is missing something. It feels like when my voice glides out against my vocal cords on high notes of something like Halsey, there's less grinding and more smoothness as the higher pitches come out. It's really nice. It might just be in my mind but... what you perceive is what is, kind of.

Yea it was done in the past for singers, like every one in the guy comment section said but here is something close to the real deal in modern times
It was done to prepubescent choir boys to stop their voice breaking, I believe they were called eunuchs or some shit! I might be wrong though.
Holy sheets of bible.. That's cruel
I know man people can be fucking barbaric! lmao
Usually done to singing young boys before hitting puberty to keep their high pitched voice cuz the testicles is where testosterone (hormone with major influence over male characteristic i. e. deep manly voices) are produced. Cut off before boys are developed then bam! Permanent high pitched voice.
I heard about it too
When hitting puberty, its influence of the voice is gone
Hmm I wonder why
It's because of the testosterone I think? You're getting those hormones and those are changing our bodies from a boy to a man's, lowering the voice
By castration before you hit puberty, that change is prevented
Not sure if I can call taht castration, but yeah xD
It is a myth. Castration as a youth prevents some secondary effects of puberty which keeps the voice high (er) but castration after puberty does not raise the voice.
No. If the balls are cut off before puberty, though, the voice won't lower.
Never tried it
