Does anyone else hear have a hereditary disease that runs in their family that renders them terrified at times?

Breast cancer runs very strong in my family and having seen so many of my relatives suffer and die from the disease the thought of having it at times fills my heart with fear. Every time I get a mammogram done I'm so scared that I cry. Has anyone else had to deal with fear like this?

Parkinson's has run in mine which my great grandfather had and now my grandmother have and it is the worst disease out there as there is no research on it and no cure making your life a ticking time bomb slowly regressing. I hope I don't have it but there is no way to actually check at the moment because of a lack of research :/
