What to expect?

I have to cavities and watching Netflix up late to avoid the big day tomorrow at the dentist. Never had cavities and I'm scared and don't know what to expect. Any pain? Pressure? Tell me about it please.

Only pain is when they inject the local anaesthetic at the beginning. With a needle. So it's gonna hurt for like a second. The anaesthetic then takes over and you don't feel anything.

Put lip balm or Vaseline on your lips beforehand. You will need to keep your mouth open all the time so your lips may get dry.

Done with the procedure.. I'm numb and I've been telling myself I look like a fat monkey. I sound drugged up. It feels really weird

Be confident it might hurt but definetly no pressure. The noise is the worst for me if they numb the mouth its all fine.

The are gonna numb it and use laughing gas so my body is relax and not shaky

That won't be bad as long as you dont have exposed nerves , but with a little novicane you shouldn't feel a thing. The drill makes a bit of noise but just relax , fillings dont take long to have done.

Tips on how to relax especially the noise?

Whit the drilling you will experience a smell that isn't pleasant but you shouldn't have any pain at all ,

My dentist usuall has misic coming through the intercome system , i usuall close my eyes and sing inbmy mind or just think back on what i may have been doing or who i was with the first time i heard the song thats playing. That tends to help me avoid paying attention to what the Dentist is doing. Before you know it , its over

So, really close my eyes and distract myself? Like think of something and think about it for 20mins ( approximately each tooth is 10min)

Never had NOS at any of my dental visits but would like to try it at least once. I never like the rubber face feeling from the novicane

It helps me completely relax makes me loopy sometimes makes me want to just fall asleep. I don't like needles so I'm a afraid of feeling that in my gum.

I am much better with needles in my gums than i am in the roof of my mouth... Those are big issues for me. Im not afraid of needles dont get me wrong but in the roof is a big deal for me

Getting shots of novacane in the roof of my mouth always causes me to have sinus issues afterwards

They were a bit more uncomfortable than the average tooth. But my eye teeth were worse than the wisdom teeth as the roots are longer
