How long can you hold a plank position?

My record is 5 minutes but the World record is 5 hours 15 minutes. So it must be very bad being able to hold it for only 5 minutes :D What do you say :D All I can do is 5 minutes. Shame of me :D

I've done 3 minutes, I don't know if i could do 5 under threat of death.

How long you can hold a plank represents how strong your abs are, but also how well your body type is suited to planking.

My 8 year old child can probably plank longer than me, they do not have a stronger core though. Height makes planking significantly harder, as does, obviously, your size.

I can plank 5 minutes but that doesn't me I am fit. I have belly fat. My abs may not be weak but my body fat percentage is also high.

I only ever tried 30 seconds. But tbh I haven't really attempted longer. My mother does it longer than me :)

Listen: you can do it way longer than 5 minutes. I'm pretty sure of that.

Look up a book called "Peak" by Anders Ericsson. You have NO idea of what you're capable of with the right kind of practise.

Yeah no Im not even going to attempt that. Planking is one of the things Im the worst at.

I've never tried to hold it longer than 2 minutes, but I think I could hold it for at least 3 minutes..

Highest would be 15 mins.
