Weird lump on side of my left leg?

I've had a lump on the side of my left leg for awhile and i went to the doctors about it and I've been having ultrasounds and x-Ray's, and I have to wait another few days for my appointment with the doctor about what's wrong and it is stressing me out a lot around test time and all that and I was wondering if someone could give me an idea of what might be wrong It's a painless lump by my knee unless I do a lot of exercise, then I get pains On the x-Ray it looks like a bit of bone is growing out from my Distal Femur Any ideas?

Thanks all for your opinions, I was called up today and was told that I have Osteochondroma, they want to do a biopsy just in case, but hey at least I know what i have now aha

It's probably a cyst. If it was really serious your doctor would have contacted you right after. I had bruising on my throat and they did an ultrasound. It turned out my carotid artery was leaking and I heard from the doctor an hour after the test.

It might be a tumor. Non-cancerous, but it may be it a bad spot so that it hurts when you exercise. Hope everything's okay :( God bless!

All I can say is try not get too stressed about it don't over- think anything try and relax more do things to take your mind of it until your next appointment with the doctor

It's most likely nothing, maybe a bone spur or a calcification.

Relax. If it were serious (like Cancer) the doctor would not keep you waiting for so long. Sounds like some kind of a bone spur.

is it hard/soft? how big is it compared to a penny? ... is hair growing around it but not on it?
