Go to a chiropractor. I messed my back up at 15 and never went to the doctor for it. My chiropractor told me what was wrong and what happened to my body when the accident happened. My body still hurts but not as bad as it did. Not even close. Make sure you get one with a good attitude. The first one I went to had a horrible "I don't believe you attitude." It shouldn't hurt you either! Mine put a heating element on my body till I couldn't feel anything. Cracked my neck back and hips (my pain areas.) the only thing that scares me every time is when he cracks my neck my vision blurs for a second! You won't regret it

no it can be a really good thing but tell them of the pain and the injury that way they can work properly
Lower back pain often comes from flattened intervertebral discs more than from muscles.
I'm not sure a doctor would always prescribe massage. I feel he'd in any case have you learn the 'tricks' to spare your back. In the worst cases they have a surgical intervention on it.
Read up on Collagen Hydrolysate supplementation and back pain. Supplementing with that is more likely to help than the temporary relief of a massage parlour. Great Lakes Collagen (green tub) is a good one.

If you've been having pain for that long I don't think it's coming from simple muscle tensions which is what a massage could help with.
I'd consider physiotherapy, if you want a permanent relief, instead if I was in your place )It's a waste of money if the one massaging the back isn't a professional
Also, maybe you could do stretch exercises for your backtry some foam rolling and static streaching buddy that might help :)
also yeah sounds good might help :)I think you should make an appointment with a good Chiropractor. See how it goes.
I suggest foam rolling
