Should anti-smokers just chill out?

I really hate it, when an anti-smoker complains about someone who smokes. It’s called “freedom” and there are no anti-smoking signs around, so the smoker is free to light a cigarette. If it really annoys you, or you have asthma or however it’s called, I don’t care, just get up and sit somewhere else. Nobody forces you to sit next to him/her. Next time, when you complain, the smoker has ANY right to put out their cigarette on your throat. Not even in the arm, but on the throat that it hurts even more.

Also, note this comes from a non-active smoker. Well, I have smoked cigarettes some times in my life occasionally, still do it. But I’m not considered an active smoker. Still anti-smokers are disgusting and selfish in my opinion.

I smoke and I usually tend to see people who suddenly get really righteous when smoking is introduced as a subject of conversation as a sign that I need to find an exit strategy.

It's not the fact that they're against smoking. I'm also against smoking (just like doing it too much to quit).

It's just that they usually exhibit other personality traits that I find borderline insane.

It all depends how you smoke. If nobody is troubled by your smoke, they should not react. If you are smoking in a space where its allowed but where your smoke can disturb other people (small, wind, ...) than look for a different spot (and the same applies of course to unhygienic people with a body smell or whatever behaviour that can disturb people, so its more general than just smoking)

Considering the fact that second hand smoke is actually more cancer-causing than regularly smoking cigarettes, yes, I think people deserve the right to not chill when it comes to smoking. I think smokers who willingly endanger their lives the lives of others around them while simultaneously polluting the air only to make themselves smell and look like shit are disgusting and selfish in my opinion.
