My Cousin have lung Cancer from smoking 😞 can he survive or how many years he can live?

It says that more than half of the people with lung cancer die within one year of being diagnosed. I'm incredibly sorry about your cousin. Just remember that each body is different and there are many factors that can change the situation.

iam sorry for ur cousin , lung cancer survival depends on the type of the cancer cell and the stage of it.. its spread is a major factor too. i mean how far did it go? bone, liver , brain? also smoking is a big factor for cancer lung but it won't be the main cause of cancer at that age ! i think he did a biobsy by now which would tell us a lot

I'm afraid lung cancer is not a good diagnosis, the chances of recovery are certainly below 50%.
I've known 2 people with lung cancer. One has passed away after about 4 months, the other after a year.
But let's hope for the best... wish you all the courage you'll need in these hard moments :D

Yeah, better to be honest and avoid false hope. But there is hope... make sure you provide lots of moral support to fight the desease. Even below 50% chance is still a chance.
Has it been discovered in an early stage?

I'm not sure he used to cough and they just discovered now at this moment. I remember before 7 years that guy confessed he's in love with me & still. That make me sad he means a lot to me. But I get it I'll just hope he get lucky

Depends on the cancer and how far along it is. There are several kinds of lung cancer.

At age 21 it's unlikely caused by smoking, unless your cousin has been smoking since birth.

He's my cousin's cousin. It has been 5 month since I didn't talk to him. I just remember he was Hokkah addict. We are shocked he's too young to get that cancer !!!
