What do you think of communal showers?

They're ok. No biggie. Don't really mind them

Gross and the lack of privacy isn't appealing to me.
Gross because of the lack of hygiene there - and cleanliness - probably isn't being cleaner propperly.

If they're clean (which is usually not the case), then I don't mind them. I've got nothing to hide from my bros, so the "candidness" doesn't bother me.

I had them when I was in high school. I went to an all Male high school so it wasn't weird at all.

we have very limited time at school for showering and lunch, so if you intend on not coming late twice a week or skipping lunches, you better be fast. i dont know how others do it, but i'm not fast. these showers really help me save a minute or two by sharing soap/shampoo with my friends (ie i dont take any with me and just ask them, which also helps with running bc our bags are already loaded heavily enough) and we dont waste time with opening/closing curtains, tripping over them on the floor or whatever else funny business tends to happen in other places. our country is poor, we're happy things are as good as they are already, so the extra shower heads that they were able to afford instead of curtains and walls is a godsend, so the whole class is done showering in two go's instead of 3. since we lack walls, we can't take towels inside without them getting wet, so everybody is hustling in and out for one more reason, not just to save time. but honestly, it was never a problem either way. i've never seen or even heard about people having any problems around here. people are polite here, i guess, no peeking glances, everybody just concentrates on themselves. maybe that's also got to do with how practically noone around here shaves, neither up nor downstairs, unlike in the west. could be a time or poverty thing, could also be cultural. either way, there isn't even much to see or compare. at our age, we're still mostly flat like the boys ༼ ༎ຶ ᆺ ༎ຶ༽. ig the overweight girls keep their heads down a lot more, though. the rest of us does chit-chat a bit, even when hurrying in the second group. in short, i feel like people are way faster with these than with stalls. i've heard people do all kinds of things in there all alone, no wonder some take forever in there.
