Girls, Womens communal shower etiquette?

I'm a transwoman and my friends invited me to the ocean to go camping over Labor Day weekend. Last time I was there was probably 10 years ago with my parents, pretransition, but if I remember right at least in the men's it was an open shower situation. that I think had a few half stalls with no doors. What do I do if that's still the case? I can't use the men's, my body is clearly feminine (breasts and butt and such), so I'll have to use the women's but, any suggestions by way of etiquette, I don't want to make people feel like I don't belong.

Well I have never been in one that was completely open and no stalls but similar rules apply. You keep to yourself and don't look around. You are in, washed and then out. Don't linger around or take more time than necessary. If you see someone come in after you and leave before you've taken too long and need to hurry it up. Aside from that when you are changing don't do it close to others unless there is no room. Keep a towel on and put underwear on under the towel. Not much you can do about a bra. Towel has to come off. Anyways the key is to keep to yourself and don't linger.

Maybe don't use public showers?

I am someone that goes out of my way to make sure I impact others as little as possible. Sadly in our selfish modern era, most people just do whatever they want and seem to enjoy the disturbance they cause.

You seem to be an exception. If there is some way to avoid the situation, do that.

I generally just want to "live and let live" but in this case I'm feelingbits going to be unavoidable, which is why I'm here... sure I could go to the truck stop, but that'll coat $$ I don't have and a ride I won't get (all my friends, and me, will be drunk)... and I don't feel that it's right that I should miss out on big things in life, like a trip to the ocean, just because a minority would have a hangup

I’d be lying if I said it wouldn’t make people uncomfortable, but it more than likely will, so I’d try to find a stall to do that in, or go during non peak hours in the shower. If they have half stalls you should be alright as long as you’re with friends.

People are ignorant and judgement especially in numbers so, it’s best to just do it discreetly than to try to go in there and hope nobody says anything. Make a plan when you get there so you can have a comfortable experience.

You don't belong. The right etiquette is not shoving yourself in a space where women are especially vulnerable as a man. They won't say anything because they will fear you and the power you hold over them as a man with a trendy mental illness that people are being forced to support. But know that they will absolutely be disgusted and uncomfortable.
