Weight lifting issue: Overhead Press?

Hey guys, so I'm a starter at weight lifting and been working out for like 3 or 4 days, I workout on a rippetoe program but there's just one issue, I kind of suck at all of them, I especially suck at the Overhead Press in which my back keeps folding and my arms just don't stay backwards, I can't focus on a billion things at one time, my brother told me that this is the easiest move and yet I don't know how to do it, he has tried to teach me for almost 5 days now and no luck, will I even have a chance of gaining some mass or/and power? He told me it'll take me at least a month to learn it, but his friends say that it's okay for a beginner and shouldn't worry about it (they are all expert bodybuilders) any tips?
